Once again, Azealia Banks is giving her unsolicited opinion and unhinged reaction toward Beyoncé's transition to the Country music genre with the arrival of "Renaissance: Act II."
Beyoncé surprised everyone with the announcement that "Renaissance: Act II" is going to be a country album, spearheaded by the release of her two singles during the 2024 Super Bowl.
Azealia Banks Slams Beyoncé's 'Renaissance: Act II', Country Genre Transition
Azealia Banks did not mince her words when she gave her unsolicited opinion about Beyoncé's seeming transition to country music for "Renaissance: Act II." (via HotNewHipHop)
Taking to her Instagram Stories, the embattled rapper pined on Beyoncé, blasting her decision to transition to Country from R&B, Pop, and most recently, Dance/Electronic.
"Ugh Bianca girl I love you down but them r&b runs over the leslie feist back beats is giving pickmesha..." she wrote on her stories. "Nothing country about it. You're seeing yourself up to be ridiculed again. There's a theatrical element to country music !!! Them critics are not just going to accept an ugly blond wig and, bullying from jay-z !!! It's giving big time musical grift. Yes black girls can make country music ... but you're just really not hitting the button."
Banks also took a shot at Beyoncé's recent behavior, slithering between genres where she thinks she can gain more accolades at.
"Beyoncé please stop the madness. The gay baiting, the overtly narcissistic attempts to lazily encroach into a genre *you think* your popularity is gonna gain accolades for you in... You're looking like food sis," she also added.
Needless to say, Banks is not convinced that Beyoncé is not releasing "Renaissance: Act II" to diversify herself or embark on a new journey but to gain more accolades in a genre that she could easily dominate.
