With her stylish new appearance, Selena Gomez's most recent Instagram Stories photo is igniting the internet, but it's also stirring up a storm of conflicting reactions.

As expected, some did not like the photo and has bravely typed out their sexist reactions.

The picture, which features her wearing extremely stylish hot pink glasses and what looks to be her morning coffee, has drawn criticism from both supporters and detractors.

But in the midst of the chaos, a barrage of critical remarks regarding her appearance has surfaced.

Some fans rudely commented that she looked like an old Latina, with others going further and calling her a granny.

It's not clear if she paid these comments to heed, but she posted two more selfies, now looking sultier without the glasses.

Emboldening her fans is how she is now positively slaying in Paris. Her looks while she strolled the city are to die for.

Selena posted a carousel of three recent photos of herself sitting outside at what looks to be a cabin break on her grid a few weeks ago.

The "Single Soon" actress previously discussed her definition of beauty with People. She outlined that "my fundamental belief is that everyone possesses a unique and rare quality, and feeling beautiful doesn't require conforming to one specific look."

She also discussed how she "wanted to challenge the unrealistic standards of perfection in the beauty industry" as a result of "growing up feeling pressured to meet certain appearance expectations."

Before 2023 ended, she unveils Find Comfort, a 4-product range featuring a fragrance mist, body lotion, hand lotion and aromatherapy pen. Subsequently, she told People magazine that her new line is not about beauty per se, but "aligns with promoting self-acceptance" and "encourages everyone to find joy in feeling good without needing perfect routines."

"It's all about emphasizing well-being," the singer actress adds. "We spent a lot of time making sure the collection truly represents our brand, focusing on soothing packaging colors, light textures, and calming aromas. Our goal was to create an experience that helps people feel comfortable in their own skin and take a moment to find comfort. "
