Foo Fighters will play a private performance in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, March 5.
Power to the Patients is a non-profit organization that advocates for price transparency in healthcare to create a more accessible, affordable, and fair system of care.
Chuck D and Fat Joe, two seasoned rappers who have led the music industry's awareness of the organization, will also be there. "When we were asked by Power to the Patients to help raise awareness of the need for transparency in healthcare pricing, we immediately said yes," they said.
People suffering from illness and injury shouldn't have to worry about being bankrupted by surprise charges for their treatment," Foo Fighters further said in a collective statement.
The group is trying to raise awareness about the inequity and confusion that is generated for millions of patients when hospitals and insurance hide genuine upfront rates, and they have legislators, government officials, and their committed staff in attendance.
A lack of responsibility and unexpected medical costs have left over 100 million Americans in debt. A nonprofit, nonpartisan group called Power to the Patients is committed to using price transparency to make healthcare more accessible and fair for all.

Legislators, public servants, and their staff will come together for this event to discuss the disparities in the healthcare system, where hospitals and insurance withhold some of the genuine upfront costs from their patients.
According to a press release, over 100 million Americans are struggling to pay their unexpected medical expenditures.
Rules mandating hospitals and insurers to provide patients with pricing information prior to treatment have been disregarded by them for years.
Alongside musicians including Fat Joe, Jelly Roll, Wyclef Jean, French Montana, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Chuck D, Method Man, Lainey Wilson, Valerie June, Shepard Fairey, and rock group Everclear, Foo Fighters also promotes the charity.
Fat Joe has carried the message to Capitol Hill, where he has spoken with senators and members of the House of Representatives, pleading with them to enact laws that would formalize and broaden the requirements for healthcare price transparency.
According to the statement, new poll results indicated that 94% of Americans favor healthcare pricing transparency, but just 36% of hospitals follow the regulations mandating them to reveal costs.
A bipartisan group of senators submitted a bill in December of last year with the goals of holding hospitals and insurers accountable, strengthening and expanding healthcare price transparency regulations, and defending patients, employees, employers, unions, and other healthcare consumers.
