Lady Gaga Fortnite: Pop Star's Virtual Concert a Nod to Her Career? Fans Point Out Similarities in Real Life

Lady Gaga is the headliner of Fortnite Festival Season 2: Unlock Your Talents and fans believe that the recent commercial shared by the pop star and the videogame itself was a reflection of the singer's career.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, a fan shared a side-by-side video of the new Fortnite commercial and many believed that it Gaga was looking back at her successful career.

The clip starts with a 3D model of Lady Gaga arriving in a car and walking out with an entourage, the fan pointed out that it's an homage to her 2008 music video for "Just Dance."

The video then cut to Gaga standing in what appeared to be a dark alley filled with smoke and pink light, and the entire scene resembled her music video for "The Edge of Glory" in 2011.

In the scene where the 3D character lay down on a sofa, it was pointed out that the scene was similar to her "Paparazzi" music video.

Other clips include Lady Gaga performing at her concert using her keytar as it was also shown in the commercial.

Lady Gaga Headlines Fortnite Festival Season 2

According to Time, the virtual concert game was inspired by Lady Gaga's most recent era of music "Chromatica," an album released in 2020.

The collaboration will feature two new skins that your character could wear: the first one featured her look from the album art of "Chromatica" along with a pink slicked back hair, and another one was the purple bodysuit designed by Nange Magro that she wore on tour.

The game has "two unique experiences: Fortnite Festival Main Stage and Fortnite Festival Jam Stage." The main stage will give players a chance to party through licensed soundtrack.

Lady Gaga's eight songs, which are "Born This Way," "Applause," "The Edge of Glory," "Rain on Me," "Stupid Love," "Just Dance," "Poker Face," and "Bloody Mary" are now available as playable Jam Tracks.

Fans have been waiting for Gaga to start her new era of music as "Chromatica" has been running for four years.

Over the past few weeks, the pop star continue to tease fans about her new album as she shares videos and photos of herself working in a recording studio.

As of this writing, the pop star has yet to share more details about her new album, but she has an upcoming movie later this year titled "Joker: Folie à Deux" with Joaquin Phoenix.
