Over the past few days, there have been rumors surrounding Lizzo as she reportedly couldn't star in Jennifer Lopez's new movie titled "This Is Me... Now: A Love Story." More recently, the singer broke her silence and revealed the truth.
According to People Magazine, it all began when one of Lopez's team members claimed in the behind-the-scenes documentary "The Greatest Love Story Never Told" that Lizzo was unavailable to appear in the film.
The "Special" hitmaker took to her official TikTok account to share a video of herself addressing the speculations, saying she was never invited to appear in the film in the first place.
"Ain't nobody told me nothing... Nobody asked me. J. Lo, I love you," she said.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the documentary, which is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, revealed that aside from Lizzo, other artists like Ariana Grande, Jason Momoa, Snoop Dogg, Jennifer Coolidge, and Taylor Swift also reportedly declined to be a part of the star-studded project.
In addition, Vanessa Hudgens was initially pitched to portray one of Lopez's friends, but she couldn't make it to the final cast. Khloe Kardashian was also set to appear as a cameo but didn't make it.
"They were giving me a list of all these amazing people, and I was like, 'Yes, I like all of those people, but that's not what I want,'" Lopez told the outlet.
She further explained that the star-studded cast that made it to the movie impacted her in different ways, whether it be their philosophy on life, love, music, or such.

Although the names mentioned above didn't make it to the final casting, the movie was star-studded as celebrities like Jane Fonda, Post Malone, Kim Petras, Jennifer Lewis, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Keke Palmer, and more appeared in the film.
In other updates about Jennifer Lopez, the musician has entered a new era with her new album, which has the same title as the movie.
As a special treat to her fans, she will return to the big stage and go on tour this summer, which will kick off at the Kia Center in Orlando, FL.
