In 2006, Country Weekly hailed Keith Urban as country music's sexiest man. Since then, the dashing Australian music icon has made significant career strides while capturing many people's hearts worldwide.
Like any other artist, Urban has his way of getting his creative juices flowing.
Some would like to isolate themselves, and some would like to go to a different country to harness creative power elsewhere, but Urban only has to lose all clothing.
Keith Urban Likes Writing Music Naked
Speaking to Taste of Country, Keith Urban revealed that the showers are his go-to creative spot when writing music.
"Oh, the shower, always. It's always the shower," he cheekily revealed. "For everything. Every idea. My show ideas, everything. Guitar ideas, song ideas, lyrics, everything."
When pressed if he has written songs while naked, the Country star confirmed it.
"That's very possible. So sorry about that everybody. You can't un-see that," he quipped.
Urban detailed that his songwriting process can be spontaneous.
"Ideas come a lot, and I sort of think of them as fireflies, and you just put them in a jar. Then, when you go to write a song, open up the jar and use that firefly to spark the song, and off we go," Urban revealed. They're just like little inspirations that were natural as they came, and maybe when you go to write a song, inspiration shows up that day, and maybe it doesn't. If it doesn't, it's kind of nice to have some in a jar."
Keith Urban Would Have Been In Jail If Not A Musician
In an interview on the "Talking Junkies" podcast along with host Criss Angel, Urban confessed that if he didn't pursue music, he would have been behind bars.
"I'd be in jail, probably," he joked.
His answer stemmed from his confusion at the start of his career.
"It was the collision of all these things that, prior to going to that concert that night, I'd been like 'Man, am I country or am I rock? I don't know what I am, what I'm supposed to be doing,'" he added.
Urban even struggled with alcohol and drug addiction in the early years of his career, using it as a coping mechanism.
Thankfully, he overcame it when he underwent a rehabilitation program in 1998 and met Nicole Kidman, his wife.
