In a recent discussion, Jerilynn Stephens and Darbie Wieczorak from "The Voice" team shared insights on the continuous changes in the coaching lineup.
Following Adam Levine's exit as a judge in 2019 and Blake Shelton's departure last year, the hairstylist highlighted how introducing "new faces" has injected a refreshing energy into the show.
'Replaceable' The Voice Coaches
During a special interview WITH The Sun during the 11th Makeup Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS) Awards in Beverly Hills, California, Jerilynn and Darbie delved into the topic of the latest changes in the entertainment shows.
"Things that contribute to the people coming back to the show... would be the coaches changing," Jerilynn explained.
"I think that the contestants are always new and fresh - new faces."
Upon Reba McEntire's return, Blake's absence made the future uncertain, but her love for Reba remained unwavering.
The hair expert also said that adding Dan and Shay to the double chair brought a fresh and exciting experience.
"The show is constantly evolving," Jerilynn confessed.
In response to Blake and Adam's departure from the hit reality singing competition, the Hollywood fashion consultant remarked, "We kept going. Everyone's always replaceable."
"I mean, truly, it brings a new fresh feel to the show."
Jerilynn expressed her optimism about the show's longevity, having been involved with it since its first season in 2011.
With the current season marking the 25th installment, she also hopes the show will continue well into the future, possibly until her retirement.
