'Thin' Randy Jackson Worries the Public Following Recent Appearance: Is He Okay?

The record executive, 67, talked at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Tex., on Friday, March 15, to share a powerful message about his career in the music industry. He appeared while donning a black Guns N' Roses shirt, but his way of speaking and gestures caught people's eyes instead.

Randy Jackson Sparks Health Concerns

Multiple news outlets, including The U.S. Sun, noted Jackson's "very thin" appearance following his decades' worth of sacrifice to lose weight.

While he achieved his goal, he ended up worrying everyone with his quieter voice and slower movement on stage.

Jackson previously sparked a similar buzz when he shared a photo of himself taken on the set of Name That Tune. The photo featured Vanessa Williams and Wendi McLendon-Covey - the show's then-contestants.

Fans have expressed their concerns over the years since Jackson started losing weight.

Randy Jackson's Health Explored

Jackson's weight loss journey started with a gastric bypass surgery in 2003 after he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. He cut most of his 350-pound weight at the time, and his journey pushed him to launch the Unify Health Labs in 2019.

"If I really feel like I need to have a piece of candy, I have a small piece so that in my mind, I'm not saying, 'No, no, no,'" he told in an interview with People. "The more you deny yourself, the more you're going to go on a bender and have 18 candy bars without stopping at some point."
