Kelly Clarkson is faring well years after divorcing her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
In fact, she's not just surviving - she's thriving.
After launching a new lawsuit against him, sources have gathered that Kelly Clarkson has "no regrets" about her recent move.
Kelly Clarkson Has 'No Regrets' On Divorce, New Lawsuit
A source told People Magazine that Kelly Clarkson has "no regrets" from walking away from her damaging marriage with Reba McEntire's son, Brandon Blackstock.
The ex-couple's divorce was finalized in 2022, and she possesses primary custody of their two children, River Rose and Remy Alexander.
"She is doing really well," the source told the publication. "She is happy that she left L.A. for N.Y. She has the primary custody of the kids and is a great mom. Although she loves working, the kids are her world."
The source also added that Clarkson is "very hands-on and fun" with her children. Clarkson is an Emmy Award-winning host of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
The show moved to New York from Los Angeles after Clarkson decided to hit the Big Apple after her divorce from Blackstock.
"The divorce was difficult, but she recovered quickly and has no regrets," the People Magazine source added.
In a cover story interview with People Magazine, Clarkson added that writing her new album, "Chemistry," provided an avenue for her to overcome the pain she suffered from her divorce from Brandon Blackstock.
"I didn't see it other than: This is my outlet. I'm a let-go person; I don't hold grudges. So it was really delving into what happened in my life and why - and what am I going to do about it?" Clarkson confessed.
Kelly Clarkson Sued Brandon Blackstock For Overstepping
The new revelations came on the heels of Kelly Clarkson's bold move to sue her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, for allegedly "overstepping his legal limits as her manager."
After suing her on Mar. 14, 2024, Clarkson argues that Blackstock owes her more. Her most recent filing alleges Blackstock has been violating California labor rules since 2007, the same year she entered into an oral agreement with Starstruck Management.
Now, the new complaint asks for a "full and complete accounting from Starstruck of all monies received by Starstruck, directly or indirectly, in connection with any and all contracts, employment, or engagements pertaining in any way to the personal services of [Clarkson]."
This includes all fees, profits, commissions, advances, and even producing fees they've charged Clarkson ever since she was under their management.
