Country star Morgan Wallen was recently spotted out in Nashville with his ex-girlfriend, Katie "KT" Smith, and their son, Indigo, following a tumultuous past two weeks for the former couple.
On April 7, Wallen, 30, was arrested in Nashville at Chief's Bar, a popular Broadway district spot owned by Eric Church, after throwing a chair off of the sixth story roof of the bar. Wallen was charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct. If convicted, he could face six years in prison. He posted a $15,250 bond and was released early on April 8.
Meanwhile, Smith, 29, had a more positive early April. The social media star recently married her beau Luke Scornavacco, 22. The two made the surprise announcement in an exciting Instagram post on April 3. After swiping through a slideshow of the lovers and baby Indigo, fans were met with a selfie of Smith and Scornavacco with their marriage certificate. The two became engaged in late March before getting married soon after. Scornavacco, like Smith, is a digital content creator who has garnered hundreds of thousands of followers across his social media platforms.
Wallen and Smith were seen out with their three-year-old son, Indigo, this weekend, seemingly putting an end to any rumors that the two were at odds. Wallen and Smith had an on-and-off relationship that began in 2016 and officially ended in 2019. Indigo was born a few months later.
Some attributed Wallen's chair throwing as being the singer's reaction to the news of Smith's sudden marriage. However, Smith denied this connection.
In a statement given to the Daily Beast, Smith wrote that, despite the potential correlation between the two events given the "timeline," she has "no evidence to believe the incident had anything to do with the recent marriage announcement."
She continued saying that she "cannot speak on Morgan's behalf, but I do pray the very best for him. Praying that this was just a slip up and that he will return to the good path that he was on prior."
Wallen had previously been arrested for driving under the influence in 2016.
On Friday, the exes appeared out and about in casual outfits. Smith sported black bell-bottoms and an AC/DC shirt while Wallen opted for white pants and a t-shirt. Little Indigo also rocked a t-shirt and black pants.
Smith and Wallen were briefly engaged, per a blog post from Smith, before ending the engagement and continuing to date for two years. They officially called it quits at the end of 2019. Indigo was born a few months later. The two continue to co-parent the little one.
In 2021, Smith wrote that "Indie is the biggest part of our lives and has made both of us grow tremendously."
This appearance is the public's first look at Wallen following his now infamous arrest.
Wallen is set to appear in court on May 3, the same night he is slated to perform at Nashville's Nissan Stadium. He is currently on his One Night at a Time tour with a rotating set of opening artists, including Jelly Roll, Bailey Zimmerman and Lainey Wilson.
