Morgan Wallen's arrest has made headlines over the past few weeks. He's set to perform at his first concert since his legal troubles, and fans took to social media ahead of the show to poke fun at the situation and make jokes about the country crooner.
According to Taste of Country, the musician will perform at the Vaugh-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, on April 20. This will be his first concert since his arrest earlier this month.
Lane Kiffin, the head coach of Ole Miss, took to X to share a photo of the venue, seemingly preparing for the upcoming show this weekend.
The reply section was filled with online users poking fun at the singer following his arrest as he was entangled in legal trouble after allegedly throwing a chair off a bar in Nashville.
"Chair throwing contest at the Grove," one user wrote.
"Hide yo chairs, hide yo wife!," another one wrote.
Another wrote, "If he's good at throwing a chair, imagine how good he could be throwing a football!"
As of this writing, Morgan Wallen has yet to react.
Morgan Wallen Arrested
In early reports, the singer was arrested on three felony charges after allegedly throwing a chair from the sixth floor of Eric Church's bar and honky-tonk in Nashville. He reportedly cooperated with authorities.
Sources later revealed that the reason behind Wallen's actions was motivated by his ex-fiancé Katie "KT" Smith's recent elopement with fellow influencer Luke Scornavacco. The singer has reportedly not moved on from his relationship with the social media star, whom he shares a son with.
"Whatever happened at that bar had to be reality hitting him in the face over losing the love of his life," the insider said.
Smith later issued a statement to the Daily Beast denying the allegations, saying. However, it may appear that the incident was related to the timeline, and she has no evidence to say that what happened has something to do with her marriage announcement.
The online personality added that she couldn't speak on behalf of Wallen, but she hopes that the recent legal trouble was "just a slip-up" and that he will return to the "good path" afterward.
Morgan Wallen's Upcoming Show Already Facing Controversy
The musician will perform at the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium this Saturday, but his upcoming show is already causing controversy due to an incident that occurred at the same venue last year.
According to the Daily Mississippian, Wallen was set to perform at the venue in 2023, but he canceled at the last minute because he had lost his voice.
Many people speculated that there was a deeper reason for the cancelation, especially after a security guard alleged that he was "too drunk" to perform. His Big Loud record label immediately debunked the allegation, denying the issue at the time.
As of this writing, it's unclear if Wallen would address his recent arrest as his concert this weekend.
