Charli XCX and Troye Sivan are set to take on North America with their upcoming Sweat Tour. On Wednesday morning, the two pop hitmakers posted identical messages to X, formerly Twitter, to announce that they were hitting the road together this fall. The two will be joined by British DJ and singer, Shygirl.
"CHARLI XCX & TROYE SIVAN PRESENT: SWEAT. With special guest @0800shygirl. Sign up for presale access now at sweat-tour.com," posted the artists.
The messages were accompanied with a flashy, looping video that showcases the tour dates and venues in attention-grabbing fonts and pictures of the two stars.
XCX fans also received the announcements via a community text blast. The "Von dutch" singer has recently used these text blasts as a way of intimately connecting with fans off of social media and directly in their messages.
Sivan and XCX are long-time friends and collaborators. The two teamed up for the "1999" in 2018 and "2099" in 2019. The two starred in a hilarious music video for "1999," which was, appropriately, rife with references to the 90s. British Vogue recently dubbed the duo as "the Most Fashionable Best Friends."
The two briefly teased the Sweat Tour on their social media accounts, posting a photo of a sweat-soaked shirt with "SWEAT" and "TROYE CHARLI XCX SIVAN" written across the man's chest. The artists posted the photos with no caption on April 16.
XCX is gearing up to release her newest album, brat, after throwing the party of the year at her February Boiler Room set, which received over 25,000 online RSVPs. Only 400 guests could actually attend the event. XCX is heading out on a sold out tour this summer to support brat.
Sivan, meanwhile, is still riding the high of his two Grammy wins in November for Best Music Video and Best Pop Dance Recording, both for his track, "Rush." The former YouTuber also starred in HBO's controversial series The Idol in 2023.
The Sweat Tour begins in mid-September in Detroit, Michigan and will take Sivan and XCX across North America until the end of October, when they will wrap up in Seattle.
Presale for Sweat begins Thursday, April 25 at 10 a.m. local time. General sale begins on Friday, April 26.
