Quite new in the Nashville scene, Beyoncé brings a lively touch to her latest Country Carter album by putting her own twist to Dolly Parton's iconic 1973 track, "Jolene."

Insiders have revealed that the R&B sensation has pledged to donate all proceeds from the song to support the legendary singer and her impactful work.

Beyoncé's Support

Beyoncé made some revision to Parton's song's lyrics portraying a notorious temptress who steals men. But she refused to earn from her efforts.

Surprisingly, the 78-year-old music legend was credited as the sole songwriter, a decision that could result in significant financial losses for the former Destiny's Child member.

An insider revealed to In Touch, "Beyoncé had every right to take at least a partial songwriting credit for her version of 'Jolene,' and [Parton] said she wouldn't have minded if she had."

"But Beyoncé is a huge [Parton] fan, and she felt she would be disrespecting her if she made songwriting royalties off 'Jolene.'"

The "Texas Hold' Em" singer currently dominates the album sales charts and music streaming platforms.

This success is poised to bring in significant earnings for Parton, surpassing the $10 million she annually receives from songwriting royalties.

In addition to receiving performance royalties, Parton will earn compensation for delivering a spoken word introduction in Beyoncé's revamped rendition.

"[Parton] was the one who encouraged Beyoncé to take a crack at doing 'Jolene' in the first place, and she was just floored Beyoncé sacrificed her financial rights. That's going to make Dolly big bucks," another source told the outlet.

"She says she's going to put that money to good use to fund her charitable projects - and she's made a friend for life!"

Beyonce's Next Appearance

Rumors are swirling within the BeyHive community that Beyonce will be making a surprise guest appearance at the upcoming Stagecoach music festival in Indio, California.

Across social media platforms like TikTok and X, fans have been buzzing about the possibility of the superstar taking the stage incognito as DJ Backwoods Barbie.

Staying true to the concept of the album centered around creating a space for Black individuals within the country music world, the unexpected arrival of Beyoncé would undoubtedly add a fitting twist.

Another event closely related to Coachella is Stagecoach, which will occur at the same venue - the Empire Polo Club in Indio - just a week after on April 26 to April 28, 2024.

Revealing its lineup as early as September 2023, Stagecoach will be featuring top artists like Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and Morgan Wallen.

Additionally, many of Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter collaborators, including Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Willie Jones, Post Malone, and Willie Nelson, are also scheduled to perform.

It was also revealed that Diplo, known for his collaborations with Beyoncé, will be headlining the Honky Tonk stage located within the festival grounds.

Attendees can definitely look forward to a unique experience as various DJs mix country and dance tunes during the set.
