When Matty Healy's mother was asked on British television whether she has listened to the biggest album in the United States right, she seemed to dodge the question.
Taylor Swift and Matty Healy were widely reported to have entered into a relationship shortly after the former's breakup with her longtime boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.
Although their romance was never publicly confirmed, Swifties and the public believed that the fling did in fact take place.
Moreover, the "Cornelia Street" singer's fans have speculated that some of the songs on her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, were written for Healy.
Matty Healy Mother Coyly Jokes About Taylor Swift's New Album
When Denise Welch, Healy's mother, appeared on ITV's Loose Women, she was asked about Swift's newest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
"Taylor Swift has a new album out, have you heard it Denise?" co-host Nadia Sawalha asked Welch, who responded, "I wasn't aware she had an album out at all, I haven't heard anything about it."
Swift's album was announced when she won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year for Midnights in February. Since then, there has been non-stop news coverage of her highly anticipated album release, with some highlighting the content of the song and how it would shed light on Swift's experience with her past boyfriends.
"Anyway, I wish her all the best," Welch added.

Meanwhile, Welch's son, Healy, was cornered by Entertainment Tonight and was asked about his thoughts on Swift's latest album.
"I haven't really listened to that much of it," he admitted before saying, "but I'm sure it's good."
While Swift and Healy have never publicly confirmed their relationship, Healy's aunt did. Speaking to The Daily Mail, Debbie Dedes, Healy's aunt, talked about how she thinks her nephew would react after listening to Swift's new songs, specifically "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived."
Swifties have theories that the song was written about Healy.
"Nothing surprises him any more," Dedes said. "'He will not be surprised by the song. Him and her know what went on."
