Post Malone is adding a new song to his buzzy list of recent collaborations.
After his "Fortnight" hit with Taylor Swift and "Levii's Jeans" collaboration with Beyoncé, Wallen is teaming up with controversial country crooner Morgan Wallen for a new duet.
During his Stagecoach set on Sunday, April 28, Wallen surprised the audience with a special performance of their unreleased track, "I Had Some Help." They have both teased the track on social media recently, but the full song had never been heard until they performed it at the California-based festival.
Malone appeared on stage, with a Bud Light beer in his hand, as the massive crowd of country fans cheered. Described by some as a "drinking buddies anthem," the lyrics include: "I had some help / It ain't like I can make this kind of mess all by myself / Don't act like you ain't help me pull that bottle off the shelf / Been deep in every weekend, if you couldn't tell / They say teamwork makes the dream work / Hell, I had some help."
There is no confirmation on when the pair will release the single, but it is speculated to be part of Malone's upcoming country album. They were previously spotted filming a music video for the track on top of a pickup truck.
Country fans were seemingly overjoyed over the song debut, with one fan posting on social media that they "need this song more than air," while another fan said they "want this more than the Swifties wanted 'Fortnight.'"
But speaking of Swifties, some were not so happy that Malone is teaming up with Wallen - who was arrested earlier this month - so soon after "Fortnight."
"Post Malone collaborating with Beyonce and Taylor Swift then decides to collab with Morgan Wallen is the worst thing to happen period WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT," a X, formerly Twitter, user pointed out.
"Post Malone really worked with Beyonce and Taylor Swift and then really thought it would be cool to work with............ Morgan wallen?," another critic posted.
"Fortnight" is the lead single of Taylor Swift's recently-released album, The Tortured Poet's Department. The song was released on April 19, along with a visual starring Swift and Malone. The song is projected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 following massive streaming success.
All eyes were on Wallen's Stagecoach set this weekend after he was arrested on April 8 for allegedly tossing a chair from the six-story roof of Chief's, Eric Church's recently-opened bar. After police took him into custody at the bar, located on Nashville's Lower Broadway, Wallen spent a short time in jail before being arrested.
He is now going through with the rest of his One Night at a Time tour, which picked up last week in Mississippi. He is expected to appear in court on May 3.
