Britney Spears has once again deleted her Instagram after recent rumors regarding bankruptcy.
The "Baby One More Time" singer has pulled her Instagram account - which she has done several times in the past - following a recent TMZ report that she is "completely dysfunctional" and in danger of going broke.
"She had lots of freedom in the conservatorship and the restrictions were there to protect her. She's not protected anymore," the publication stated, alleging that she goes on exuberant trips that could drain her bank account.
Spears' social media is a constant point of contention in the media, with her frequently addressing false claims against her, all while posting extensive dance videos and memes. She has deleted her Instagram a handful of times, typically following media reports that she does not wish to acknowledge.
The "Womanizer" singer recently deactivated her account in March, following a series of cryptic posts. She has used the platform to call out her family members, most notably her father, Jamie Spears, and sister, Jamie-Lynn Spears. It has also been speculated that she addressed rumors about her ex-husband, Sam Asghari, and former boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, in other pictures.
While her Instagram is down, Spears' rarely-used Twitter account is still public. Many of the posts are geared towards her music releases or recent memoir, The Woman In Me. The account still includes a statement from the singer where she addresses the media attention the book received, confirming that false narratives are why she "quit the business."
"My book's purpose was not to offend anyone by any means !!! That was me then ... that was in the past !!! I don't like the headlines I am reading ... that is exactly why I quit the business 4 years ago," she shared. "My motive for this book was not to harp on my past experience which is what the press is doing and it's dumb and silly !!!"
The social media unplug comes just days after Spears took aim at her estranged father in a post, claiming that there will never be "justice" for what they put her through.
"My family hurt me!!! There has been no justice and probably never will be!!!" Spears wrote on Instagram Sunday. "The people who sat and did absolutely nothing when they did that for four months are smooth sailing," she said. "The way I was brought up I was always taught the formative of right and wrong but the very two people who brought me up with that method hurt me !!! I am so lucky to be here!!!"
The Grammy-winner went on to say that it would not be "safe" if she were to have a face-to-face conversation with her parents, revealing that she uses Instagram to text. It is not clear if she communicates with them frequently, or if and how she does it when her account is not up.
"It's funny 'cus till this very day I haven't told them face to face!!! I text through IG but I honestly believe it will not be so safe if I ever did go face to face," she said. "I do miss my home in Louisiana and I wish I could go visit but they took everything !!!"
