Sharing with Lewis Howes on The School of Greatness" podcast, Bon Jovi revealed that his ego has affected the dynamics inside his house and his marriage to Hurley.
"I'm always going to be the narcissist lead singer in the house, but there's no platinum records hanging in my house," he confirmed.
In 1991, Bon Jovi received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song for "Blaze of Glory." The song also got the 62-year-old singer two Grammy nominations - Best Song Written for Visual Media and Best Male Rock Vocal Performance.
According to the rocker, he knows that he has "admiration and mutual respect" for his wife, and he prioritizes being a "good listener" and knows "it's not all about" his success and his glory.
"It's about we. It's about both of us, it's about all of us," he added. "It's about the family dynamic."
Since marrying in April 1989, Bon Jovi and Hurley share four kids, Stephanie, 30, Jesse, 29, Jake, 21, and Romeo, 20.

Jon Bon Jovi Cheated on Wife With 100 Women
In an interview with Bon Jovi on ABC News, the rocker hinted at cheating on at least 100 women.
"I'm not saying that there weren't 100 girls in my life. I'm Jon Bon Jovi," he confessed to Michael Strahan.
The confession came days after he also admitted to The Independent about his cheating tendencies.
"These are all the wonderful clichés of rock stardom," he told the publication. "It's about never lying about having been a saint, but not being a fool enough to f*** up the home life, either."
Since these comments came to light, Hurley was noticeably absent on the US screening of the Thank You Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story even though she was present on the UK screening of the new Hulu docuseries, Page Six reports.
