Cher's eclectic taste in music takes an unexpected turn as she reveals her newfound admiration for hip-hop legend Tupac Shakur, all thanks to her younger boyfriend, Alexander Edwards.
Despite her legendary status in the pop world, Cher's musical preferences span across genres, from country to Latin beats, influenced by her upbringing surrounded by diverse sounds.
Cher Reveals Her Favorite Artist Today
Speaking to The Jennifer Hudson Show, Cher shared her favorite artist, who she listens to the most today.
The "Believe" singer revealed that she listens to the late Hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur - all thanks to her younger boyfriend, Edwards.
"[My boyfriend] Alexander started playing me Tupac," Cher revealed to a stunned Jennifer Hudson.
"I was so taken aback by the depth of the words and I like a lot of different things."
Apart from being enamored with Tupac's lyricism, she also appreciates other genres.
"I like country music but I was gonna say. In my house, Hank Williams and Tito Puente were always playing because my uncle was a dance teacher and my mother, I was brought up on Hank Williams," she added.
Cher added that her musicality comes from her grandfather, who plays the guitar, and her uncle and mother, who also sing.

Cher Shares Why She Dates Younger Men
Elsewhere, in her lengthy conversation with Hudson on her show, Cher explained the reason why she dates younger men.
"And the reason I go out with young men is because men my age or older - well, now they're all dead - but before they just never, they were always terrified to approach me and younger men were the only ones that..." she simply confessed, affirming Hudson's description that they're "bold."
"Yeah! Raised by women like me!" she confirmed.
Cher has received criticism for dating producer Edwards, who was almost 40 years younger than her. It was in the same interview that the pop icon also revealed that she was wooed by the late King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley.
"It was because I was nervous and I knew of the people around him and it wasn't that they were bad people, it's just that I was kind of nervous of his reputation," she explained of Presley.
