Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Gosling recalled crying too much in a scene where his character becoming emotional in the car while listening to Swift's hit, "All Too Well." It was meant to be emotional, but he went a little overboard because of the song.

"I remember I cried too hard, and they cut it out. There were so many tears," Gosling recalled. His co-star Blunt corroborated the story, saying that the "amount of tears" that the post-production team cut down was "almost hysterical."

Gosling said it was the moment for his character to "really get it out."

"All Too Well" came on, and he had a good car cry. I mean, he'd been through a lot. He was jet-lagged," he explained. "So yeah, that song comes on, you're going to let it rip. A little Taylor Swift comes on, you're alone in your car in the parking lot..."

Blunt even added how Swift's song can truly evoke such emotions, saying, "You think you're in a safe space. You're not. Someone comes to shame you for hysterically crying."

Ryan Gosling Earned Taylor Swift's Seal of Approval in 'SNL' 'All Too Well' Performance

In his opening monologue on Saturday Night Live, the Barbie actor channeled his remaining Ken-ergy to poke fun at how difficult it was for him to disassociate from his character Ken and jump into a new one for Fall Guy.

So to process the breakup, he said he needed some Taylor Swift music.

Gosling then sang Swift's "All Too Well" in a Ken outfit, changing the song's lyrics to perfectly describe his feelings.

Emily Blunt, who joined Gosling in the monologue, attempted to steer the conversation back to promoting their new movie, Fall Guy. However, their banter took an unexpected turn when Blunt, too, began singing her own version of 'All Too Well,' leading to a collaborative performance that caught Swift's attention."

"All Too Well (Ryan and Emily's Version) !!! Watch me accidentally catch myself singing this version on tour. This monologue is EVERYTHING," Swift said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
