The Weeknd's Alleged Link to Drake's Home Shooting Sparks Discussion Online

A shooting incident outside Drake's Toronto home injured a security guard on Tuesday night. The incident occurred amid the publicized feud between him and Kendrick Lamar, prompting fans to speculate whether it was linked to the Canadian artist's ongoing tensions with The Weeknd.

Online sleuths saw the incident at Drizzy's residence as a response to a previous shooting at the home of Cash XO, The Weeknd's manager.

Before these events, Drake had made derogatory remarks about The Weeknd and Cash XO in his track "Push Ups." The Weeknd's subtle criticisms, delivered through Future and Metro Boomin's "All to Myself," prompted Drake to react.

Drake's song goes, "Yeah, I'm the 6ix God, I'm the frontrunner / Y'all n---a manager was Chubbs lil' blunt runner / Claim the 6ix and you boys ain't even come from it / And when you boys got rich, you had to run from it / Cash blowing Abel bread, out here tricking / S--t we do for b-----t, he doing for n---a."

According to one X  user, "I- the shooting has nothing to do with Kendrick, The Weeknd's manager cash xo mansion was shot at last week by ovo and a security guard ended up getting shot, and The Weeknd's people-xo reportedly spent the block at drake's mansion. OVO AND XO ARE WAR. Allegedly."

A second person wrote, "The Weeknd said they shooters doing Tik Toks

Drake said they ran from the 6 and dissed cash

Then he. Came back and Said ain't a real shooter all the while

CASH house get shot up

Then DRAKE house get shot uo

And you dumb n----s thing it's Kendrick."

"I had no idea The Weeknd was gang affiliated. In no time Drake will retaliate too....isnt there a better way to resolve this? Stop the violence....aim the guns at JT instead," a third social media user wrote.

Similar to the event at Drake's mansion, a shooting involving a security guard occurred at Cash XO's residence in Los Angeles on April 29.

Authorities launched a search for three individuals as part of their inquiry. The victim, 37, reported that the perpetrators wore hoodies and surgical masks. The incident that occurred at Drake's residence resulted in a shooting at approximately 2 AM.

One individual fled the location following the incident. Drake's spokesperson has officially confirmed that he emerged unscathed from the shooting incident.

Inspector Paul Krawczyk told reporters, per Deadline, "I cannot confirm if Drake was home at the time the incident occurred, but I can tell you that we are in contact with his team and they are cooperating."

In response to inquiries about the shooting incident, Krawcyzk expressed that law enforcement officers are currently unable to determine a motive.

Although video evidence of the event has been obtained, authorities are facing challenges regarding the quality of the recordings.
