Amid their ongoing feud, Drake and Kendrick Lamar find themselves at odds, with Universal Music Group unable to mediate the conflict between the iconic rappers.

Recent speculation indicates that UMG has been striving to bring peace between the 37-year-old Canadian hip-hop sensation and the 36-year-old Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper, who have been entangled in what the public has coined the "Rap Civil War."

According to TMZ, the record label has stated that it will not interfere and believes it is not its role to intervene.

Speculation initially surfaced from a blind item suggesting details of a possible encounter involving Kendrick, Drake, and Universal Music Group, with whom both artists are contractually associated through distribution branches.

A recent revelation included bullet points describing the alleged attempt by top executives at UMG to pressure Kendrick to offer an apology to Drake. Additionally, it was stated that UMG was pushing for the popular artist from Compton to retract his recent diss track, labeling the "IDGAF" rapper "pedophile."

In a recent blind item, it was rumored that executives at UMG were concerned about the negative impact of a conflict involving Drake on their business revenue. Despite this claim, insiders informed TMZ that these rumors are unfounded, with Universal reportedly steering clear of such controversies.

It had never crossed their minds to add the label, the insider said. The ongoing exchange of music drops and diss tracks has generated a surge in streams and plays, offering the label a potential financial boost rather than harm.

It remains uncertain whether the feud between the two prominent figures in the hip-hop industry will persist. Recently, Drake dropped a new track titled "The Heart Part 6" over the weekend, where he notably expressed, ''I don't wanna diss you anymore."

"I've never been with no one underage.. For clarity, I feel disgusted, I'm too respected / If I was f-----g young girls, I promise I'd have been arrested / I'm way too famous for this s--t you just suggested."

This comes before the tragic incident unfolded at Drake's residence where a shooting occurred this Tuesday. Reportedly, a drive-by shooting outside the rapper's luxurious $100 million estate in Toronto has left the "God's Plan" rapper's security guard critically injured and fighting for his life, according to The Guardian.
