Jack Osbourne gets it from his father.
The 38-year-old said that his dad, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, has given him countless pieces of advice on his workmanship, imparting a "blue-collar work ethic" upon him.
During a new interview about his Osbourne Media House, the media personality said that his father's upbringing as the son of two factory workers in Birmingham, England provided him with valuable lessons before he found fame with Black Sabbath.
"Everyone was factory workers. And he was for a while. And so he kind of has that work ethic that as I was growing up, he always impressed upon me. He was like, 'You got to do your job. You got to show up when you say you're going to show up. You got to give everything you can.' And his classic line is, 'If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.'"
Jack, who has his own four children, says that the 75-year-old rocker's reminder to "give everything you can" was a constant motto throughout his childhood, even if Osbourne didn't quite realize he was teaching the lesson to his kids.
"It's funny. It's something that - I think my dad kind of gave to me without realizing it's work ethic. My dad is such a hard-working guy. He's always been. You don't get more blue-collar than like the family he grew up in," Osbourne told Fox News Digital.
He goes on to say that he "can remember him saying that to me my whole life," instilling it into his five other siblings' minds, too. Now, Osbourne tries to inspire his own children the same way.
"I try and impress that upon my kids like, 'Hey, listen, you don't have to be amazing at your job,'" Osbourne said. "You just have to always strive to be better."
While his upbringing could have been chaotic with a father such as Ozzy, Jack goes on to say that it was "relatively normal" living in the spotlight.
"For me, it was relatively normal. But because it was just my life," he said. "But when you compare it to, like, all the other kids that I was going to school with, you know, it was different."
He goes on to admit that there was "not a lot of structure" in his early days, attending his father's rowdy concerts and glitzy parties.
"There was a lot of travel, there was a lot of kind of craziness. It was very loud everywhere we went. But it was cool. I got to do some really amazing things."
Ozzy Osbourne has recently opened up about the health struggles he is dealing with. After revealing his Parkinson's diagnosis in 2020, he is now going through extensive stem cell treatment.
"It's kind of like a super f- stem cell, you know? They put three bottles in me this morning. I had one about three months ago and this was a follow-up, and I've got to go in about six months from now," he shared.
