Shania Twain just kicked off her third Las Vegas residency a few days ago, and the country songstress reflected on how she felt with the crowd and gushed over the heavy outfits she designed for her concerts.
The musician returned to Sin City for her Come on Over residency at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood. A day after her performance, Twain spoke with People magazine, saying she felt comfortable performing in front of her fans.
"I'm comfortable with the environment and I feel friendly with everybody, so I feel at home," she said.
The singer continued that she was relieved that she launched yet another residency and felt "really happy."
"I was really able to enjoy the adrenaline, because adrenaline can also throw you off," she added.
Aside from her vocals, people also applauded her for her wardrobe through the night, and she revealed in the interview that she personally designed some of them, including a black gown with ruffles that she named "Fiona."
"She's called Fiona and she probably weighs, I am guessing, around 20 pounds, maybe more, maybe even 20 to 30 pounds. She is a structure. I designed her," she said, then noted that it took two weeks to finish.
Twain further noted that she already knew what the dress would look like, but it was about adding the right amount of puzzle pieces. Since the outfit is heavy, she considers putting it in and taking it off like a full "production."
"I'm enjoying it. I'm enjoying fashion. I'm enjoying watching the audience wear the fashion. It was really fun," she said.
The "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" songstress also gushed about the attendees of her show, who came wearing outfits inspired by her past looks, including recent ones, which made her smile and happy.
"They're in the spirit and so we're all in one spirit, especially in a room like this. It's very intimate. It's informal, and I really feel comfortable," she said
This is Shania Twain's third residency in Las Vegas, as she performed at her Still the One shows from 2012 to 2014 at Caesars Palace and her Let's Go shows from 2019 to 2022 at the Bakkt Theater.
