Music fans like to "start 'em young," but how young is too young?

Recent controversies have led to some sharp takes on parenting skills within the music industry. From an infant at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour to a crowd-surfing baby at a Flo Rida concert, take a look back on some contentious moments in music where parents may have taken things too far.

Taylor Swift Toddler

While Taylor Swift's concert is meant to celebrate the different eras of her and her fans' lives, some might be taking things back a little too far.

Multiple Swifties called out a photo that surfaced of an infant in the crowd at Swift's recent tour stop in Paris, where the baby was seen on the floor of the pit. Many pointed out that the general admission area of the stadium was extremely hazardous for a young child.

Jason Aldean's Controversial Version of Letting 'Your Boys Be Country'

Jason Aldean celebrated his wife, Brittany Aldean, on Mother's Day yesterday by sharing a look inside a recent hunting trip that had some users raising their eyebrows.

"Here's to all the mamas who let their kids be country," Aldean captioned the video. "So grateful for my wife, mom and bonus mom today and every day. Happy Mother's Day!"

The "Let Your Boys Be Country" singer is seen in matching camouflage gear with his son while they suit up to head out into the forest. His young son holds a large bow-and-arrow set, which caught some heat in the comments section.

"Letting your kids be country doesn't mean killing animals. Shoot targets. Shoot photos. Not living beings who may also be mamas," a critic commented, after noticing his 6-year-old son operating heavy-duty equipment in the video.

Flo Rida's Crowd-Surfing Baby

Flo Rida has also played to some young crowds. The "Wild Ones" singer was handed an infant at a 2023 concert, TMZ reports. During his performance at the CelebrateErie Fest, a baby was passed through the audience, essentially crowd-surfing, before being handed off to the musician on stage.

The singer held the mic up to the baby's face, before lifting it up Lion King-style during the performance of "GDFR."

Pink Claps Back at Parent-Shamers

Pink's husband, Carey Hart, caught heat when he shared a video of their daughter, Willow, popping balloons with a pocket knife, Yahoo reports. Since she was only 7 at the time, many thought that using the blade was "not safe" and "a little far."

Although Hart faced criticism, some fans said that commenters to "lighten up" because they "don't get why the hell people think this is a big deal. She's just popping balloons. Her dad is there the whole time, and I don't see blood."

Never one to back down from sharing her thoughts, Pink has clapped back at haters in the past who criticized her husband's parenting habits. After he shared a look inside taking their toddler on a dirt-biking trip, the "So What" singer slammed keyboard critic.

"You sound well informed on the performance of my husband as a father," she replied to a comment. "Answer me this: how often have you spent time with my husband? How often have you watched him parent? Do you know my children? Are you aware of their development? Even better: what are your credentials in Parenting expertise? Are you a perfect parent? S-, are you even a parent? A psychologist? A teacher? These are bold statements from a social media spectator."

Don't Take Your Kids to a Doja Cat Concert

Doja Cat has slammed parents who bring their kids to her concerts. During on of the "Paint the Town Red" musician's infamous Twitter rants, she told fans to "leave your mistakes at home," a news report reads.

"Idk who the f- you think this is but I don't make music for children so leave your kids at home motherf-er," the 28-year-old posted. "I'm rapping about c- why are you bringing your offspring to my show."
