Don't expect Cardi B to get political anytime soon.
The "Bongos" rapper has revealed that she will not be voting in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election, also pledging to never vote again at all.
Cardi B was a public supporter of Bernie Sanders for the 2020 election, when she interviewed him during the primaries before ultimately supporting Biden when he was chosen as the nominee.
Now, after "layers and layers of disappointment" throughout the last few years of the Biden Administration, she says that she will not be supporting the current president or Donald Trump in November. The 31-year-old says she doesn't "f-- with" either choice, previously being an outspoken critic of Trump.
The political junkie, who sports an encyclopedic memory of past presidents, cites domestic and foreign wrongdoings as the downfall of Biden's time in office. After voting in 2020, she feels "like people got betrayed" as she believes political higher-ups are not doing anything to combat high living costs and low wages running throughout the country.
"It's just like, damn, y'all not caring about nobody," she said to Rolling Stone. "Then, it really gets me upset that there is solutions to it. There is a solution. I know there's a solution because you're spending billions of dollars on any f-ing thing."
The "Bodak Yellow" creator went on to share her takes on the Israel-Palestine conflict, where she condemns the U.S. for spending copious amounts of money on funding "endless wars." Although she admits that artists of color are getting "blackballed" for speaking out on the events in Gaza, she calls out the U.S. for its current involvement in foreign affairs.
"[America] don't pay for endless wars for countries that have been going through shit for a very long time," she states. "There's countries [where] kids are getting killed every single day, but because the [U.S.] won't benefit from that country, they won't help. I don't like that America has this superhero cape on. We never did things to be superheroes. We did things for our own convenience."
Continuously outspoken, the "WAP" creator says she refuses to let haters get under her skin. Although she frequently comes under fire on social media, she commits to never changing herself in exchange for the "peace" of being offline.
"When I was off social media and nobody knew what I was doing, I was at peace a lot. But what am I going to do? Never post or never work again because that's peace? No. I don't ever want my daughter or my son to ever give up on something because they can't take the pressure of what people say about them. I got to set that example."

Cardi B recently made headlines after she slammed her fans, labeling them as the "worst fanbase ever," after they constantly questioned her method when releasing music. The social media firestorm resulted in the rapper saying that she would not be releasing her new album this year.
The interview reveals some aspects of the record were missing at the time she had spoken with them, including an intro, at least three more songs, a title, and rollout plan. While she acknowledges that she could just release anything for money, she cares about her musical output.
"If I was doing things for money ... I would put out music every month because nothing pays me more than shows. I'm turning down these concerts because I don't got no new music," she says. "I care about how my music sound. I care about my quality. I care about giving something special every single time."
