Miranda Lambert gushed about her marriage to Brendan McLoughlin and revealed what helps them keep their union strong.

Lambert and McLoughlin tied the knot in January 2019 after less than three months of dating.

Celebrating their five-year milestone, the "House That Built Me" singer reflected on the factors that keep their bond strong and harmonious.

Speaking with People, Lambert revealed they "just talk it out" to maintain their healthy relationship.

"I think communication is super important, especially because women, we expect men to know what we're thinking and they don't. We got to tell them," she went on.

She previously expressed how much she appreciates it whenever McLoughlin tells her the truth and gives her "the harsh reality." But despite being open to each other, the couple makes sure they do not share a lot with the general public.

"I was married before, and it was a huge wedding and everything was very public. So was my divorce," Lambert said. "I learned then that it's not for everybody else. This is my actual life. With Brendan, I made it a point to keep it as private as I could for as long as I could."

The "Space in My Heart" singer was married to Blake Shelton from 2011 to 2015. Several cheating rumors emerged at the time amid other issues in their marriage, giving them more weight to carry until they decided to split for good.

Lambert and Shelton collaborated on over 10 songs during their marriage. Her ex-husband has since moved on with Gwen Stefani.

On the other hand, the "If I Was a Cowboy" singer found love again when she met McLoughlin on Good Morning America in November 2018. He was working as a security at the time.

The pair dated afterward and kept their engagement and marriage from the spotlight. Lambert only confirmed their wedding in a Valentine's Day post.

"In honor of Valentine's Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for.... me.#theone," she captioned her post on X.

Prior to Shelton and McLoughlin, Lambert also dated Jeff Allen McManus, Anderson East and Evan Felker.
