Speculations are swirling among Miranda Lambert's fans about the hidden meanings behind the lyrics of her latest breakup song, "Alimony," which some believe is directed at her husband, Brendan McLoughlin.

This rumor arose following the release of the song, which coincided with reports of McLoughlin's questionable behavior with other women in recent weeks.

A video was shared on Instagram this week featuring Lambert showcasing her latest song, and the clip captured the country singer in action during various live performances, offering fans a glimpse into her powerful stage presence.

Within Lambert's upcoming album "Postcards from Texas," the new song will dive into the story of a woman who wants spousal support from her ex-husband following her decision to end their marriage.

"Just know as soon as you get caught / They'll all be good as mine," a part of the lyric goes.

"And you're gonna love how this all works out / 'Cause it all works out for me / What's mine is mine, and what's yours is mine," Lambert sings in the track.

The song concluded, "If you're gonna be a dumba*s / Honey, I hope you remember the alimony."

In the comments section of the video, fans shared their opinions about the lyrics, with some interpreting them as a direct "message" to McLoughlin after he was captured on video allegedly getting handsy with other women.

One commenter suggested, "I feel like this is a message to Brendan."

Another person quipped, "Doubtful he'd be paying her any alimony."

"This song slaps. 10/10. [It] is easily one of her best songs already," one fan wrote of the song.

Last month, McLoughlin was spotted dancing and getting cozy with several women at Casa Rosa, his wife's establishment in Nashville, Tennessee. The video of the interactions was shared briefly on TikTok before being removed.

In the clips, one woman embraced McLoughlin and gently touched his face.

One unnamed eyewitness claimed to The Sun that McLoughlin allegedly continued this behavior for an "extended period."

After the video hit the media and went viral, one of the women who danced with Lambert's husband decided to share her side of the story.

The woman, who did not wish to be identified, told In Touch, "We recognized him, and we all thought it was cool that he was there, and mentioned hoping for a Miranda appearance."

"Somehow, later, we were let into the roped-off section where he was. I'm not sure how that was initiated or happened," she claimed.

The mystery woman also revealed that McLoughlin was "friendly and casual, but never inappropriate or suggestive in any way."
