Following the confrontation at the hotel involving Sean "Diddy" Combs in March 2016, Cassie emerged in public with numerous bruises showing on her body just two days later.

Newly revealed surveillance footage captured the violent encounter with her then-partner as they walked the red carpet together for the premiere of the film The Perfect Match.

On March 7, 2016, Cassie showcased two different outfits, each revealing the aftermath of the incident she encountered at the once-thriving InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. Her legs bore visible bruises while she donned a sleek green dress, and a telltale mark on her shoulder was unveiled as she elegantly sported a backless gown, as captured in images shared by the Daily Mail.

In a lawsuit that has now been resolved, Cassie alleged that Diddy gave the hotel $50k in exchange for the video footage. She made severe accusations against the music mogul, including claims of assault and rape.

The lawsuit stated that during an incident on March 5, 2016, Diddy, while heavily intoxicated, struck Cassie in the face, resulting in a black eye. Cassie attempted to leave the hotel room while he was asleep but inadvertently woke him up as she exited.

According to the lawsuit, "He grabbed her, and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her, causing glass to shatter around them as she ran to the elevator to escape."

The troubling footage seemed to validate her memory of the incident.

"Upon realizing that her running away would cause Mr. Combs to be even angrier with her, and completely stuck in his vicious cycle of abuse, Ms. Ventura returned to the hotel with the intention of apologizing for running away from her abuser."

The pair dated from 2007 until 2018.

Following that chapter of her life, Cassie tied the knot with Alex Fine, who recently broke his silence after the emergence of the disturbing video.

"Men who hit women aren't men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren't men."

"Our daughters, sisters, mothers, and wives should feel protected and loved. Hold the women in your life with the utmost regard. Men who hurt women hate women."

In his conclusion, Fine left a poignant message directed at the perpetrators, firmly stating, "You're done, you're not safe anymore, you're not protected anymore. The men by your side are just as weak, you're so miserable with yourself that death would be considered a kindness."
