Kristin Chenoweth gets candid about her tragic past as she recently admitted to being a victim of domestic violence after reacting to Diddy's disturbing video that has been making rounds online.

The Broadway star recently took to social media to express her thoughts about Sean "Diddy" Comb's resurfaced video in which he was seen assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
Chenoweth initially said that she had her reasons for being bothered by the resurfaced clip, adding that the main thing she needed to do was "pray for him. For real."
The musician was met with backlash as some told her that she should save her prayers for victims of abuse and not the abusers.
Later on, she quote-retweeted the post to share a shocking confession, saying she didn't want her personal story to come out, but she's getting candid about her past, adding that she was "severely abused" several years ago.
"It took me therapy and prayer to understand i deserved better. I was deeply injured physically and spiritually. The only thing i knew to do when i got out was pray," she wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Wicked star added that she prayed for herself and for "him" as her abuser also grew up being abused.
Following this, many fans shared their support for the singer, to which she responded with several replies, with one where she said, "It was the lowest I've been in my life."
"I must admit I haven't forgiven yet. It's beyond me. God is helping me through that part," the musician noted.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Chenoweth is married to Josh Bryant, with whom she tied the knot last year. The musician did not explicitly name her abuser.
The recent news comes after a video made rounds online, showing Combs shoving, kicking, and grabbing his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at a hotel in Los Angeles.
Ventura has accused her ex of sexual assault and physical abuse prior.
Since the video resurfaced, Combs has issued an apology stating that he takes "full responsibility" for his wrongdoings and has ,since sought "professional help."
"I'm not asking for forgiveness. I'm truly sorry," he added.
