After a long wait, Guns N' Roses might finally release a new album.

The band has not released a full-length album since Chinese Democracy, which was released in 2008. Slash recently slipped out that the band is now trying to make one.

Speaking with The Daily Star to promote his Orgy of the Damned, Slash answered the question why Myles Kennedy was not featured in his album.

"It was my own side thing, so I wasn't dragging my own guys in," said Slash. "Guns N' Roses are trying to make their own record and I'm working with them in that capacity but this didn't involve anyone else."

Guns N' Roses released Hard Skool EP in February 2022. There were also tracks that had been reworked during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"So those have yet to be released. So those are gonna come out. They're really good, too. So I'm excited for those. We're just gonna put out like one or two songs, and another one or two songs. And I think that's gonna be pretty much all of 'em. I'm not sure exactly how many we did in total," Slash continued.

Slash did not disclose the target date of release of the new album, but most of the Guns N' Roses members are still busy with their solo endeavors as of the moment.

Axl Rose, for his part, launched his own website in April. He did not disclose what project he would offer soon, but fans assumed it might be a sign he would release a solo album or a book soon.

Meanwhile, Duff McKagan will start his 2024 solo tour on September 30 in Dublin and wrap this up on October 22 in Stockholm.

On the other hand, Slash will have his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival Summer 2024 Tour to support his blues covers album, Orgy of the Damned. The name is an acronym for "Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Equality N' Tolerance."

"I thought it would be a great time, because of all of the divisions and whatnot [that are] happening in this country on a social level, to try and bring some solidarity and acceptance and support different groups," he explained. "I want to really sort of bring people together and make this a celebration of all different kinds of people and all kinds of different ways of thinking. I just thought that would be a good vehicle for that."

The upcoming tour will start in Bonner, Mont., and wrap up in Grand Prairie, Tex.
