Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's marriage started to crumble because of their different approaches to fame and outlooks in life, according to sources.

The couple, who married in 2022, sparked buzz about their alleged troubled marriage as reports suggested they have been living separately in Los Angeles. They also reportedly have tension amid the strain on their relationship despite being pictured together again over the weekend.

Amid the issues, sources told People how they have been dealing with their differences after their marriage.

"They just have very different approaches when it comes to media attention. Ben hates all attention and it makes him very uncomfortable. Jennifer has always had a different approach," said one insider.

Another insider in the film industry added that Affleck does not like to share his life with the public despite feeling impressed by his wife's work ethic and success.

"Even though he admires that about her, it doesn't make him happy and causes stress in his life and then in hers. There is no question their different styles clash," the source continued. "[Lopez] needs that expression but Affleck simply is not comfortable with it."

Due to the repeated exposure, Affleck and Lopez's relationship reportedly became strained. The differences in their styles - including how they handle issues and their actions - also took a toll on their romance.

Still, the source noted that none of the issues stopped them from loving each other over the years.

The sources' comments resonated with what reports alleged when Lopez released her latest projects, including the documentary that delved into her romance with Affleck.

A separate source told Life & Style that the "Justice League" actor did not understand why Lopez spent $20 million to discuss their personal life through The Greatest Love Story Never Told as it also increased the risk of public backlash.

"Ben has gotten very good at biting his tongue, but it's known that he's not happy at all about J.Lo's endless need for attention. Things that are private I always felt are sacred and special because, in part, they're private. So this was something of an adjustment for me," the insider went on.

According to Lopez, she decided to create the documentary to tell the story she has never shared with anybody.
