Sean "Diddy" Combs' ex-girlfriend, Misa Hylton, opened up about the trauma that she had with the rap mogul after watching the viral assault video of Cassie Ventura.
In an Instagram post, Hylton expressed her sympathy for Ventura, who was brutally beaten up by Diddy in 2016 in the viral surveillance footage.
"I am heartbroken that Cassie must relive the horror of her abuse, and my heart goes out to her," Hylton shared on the platform, along with photos of Diddy's children. "I know exactly how she feels, and through my empathy, it has triggered my own trauma."
According to Hylton, these "young people" in the photos were "raised by women that want the best for them."
"We put God and education first and have always been united in our mutual effort to support their dreams. Two of the youngest do not have their mother here and it has been our duty to support them," she added.
In her post, Hylton claims that the children's father, Diddy, "needs help," and she says she's "praying" that the embattled rapper does "the personal work and receives it."
In the graphic video that CNN first published, Ventura was seen walking toward the elevator when she was chased down by Diddy, who was wearing only a bath towel. The rap mogul then grabbed his then-girlfriend by the neck and pushed her to the ground before kicking her.
Diddy then kicked Cassie again as she lay on the ground. He then proceeds to drag her by her clothes to their hotel room. When Cassie finally had the strength to stand up, Diddy shoved her. In another scene, Diddy sat on a chair, grabbed an object from a nearby table, and threw it to Cassie.

"The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light," Ventura's lawyer, Douglas H. Wigdor, said in a statement to Music Times.
Hylton shares Justin with Diddy, the eldest of the rapper's children. The couple started dating in the early 1990s but broke up shortly after welcoming their child in 1993.
Although the couple has reunited multiple times for Justin, Hylton has since been critical of Diddy's parenting of their son.
When Homeland Security raided Diddy's homes in Los Angeles and Miami in March 2024, Hylton criticized the "overzealous and overtly militarized force" used by law enforcement in their search.
"[The force] used against my sons Justin and Christian is deplorable. If these were the sons of a non-Black celebrity, they would not have been handled with the same aggression," she shared on Instagram. "The attempt to humiliate and terrorize these innocent young BLACK MEN is despicable!"
