Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck Marriage 'Not in the Best Place' at the Moment: Report

A source close to Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck adds to the rumors that their high-profile relationship is already rocky.

The source told People magazine that Affleck and Lopez's marriage is "not in the best place" at the moment, echoing the many reports about their marital dispute.

According to a music source, Lopez "likes to open her heart to her fans and to the world."

This is in stark contrast to Affleck, who is "more introspective and private." The insider describes the conflict as "difficult day-to-day."

Affleck opened up about the side of his romance in Lopez's documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.

"Getting back together, I said, 'Listen, one of the things I don't want is a relationship on social media,'" Affleck said in the documentary. "Then I sort of realized it's not a fair thing to ask. It's sort of like, you're gonna marry a boat captain and you go, 'Well, I don't like the water.'"

Reportedly, Affleck was not "completely comfortable" sharing his vulnerability with the public, another difference between him and his wife.

"He's always been impressed about how she works so hard and has achieved so much success," another source told the publication. "But the openness and promotion is not his way."

Additionally, the source added that Affleck is not as "structured or disciplined in general as Jennifer." However, they noted that "this is not a bad thing," "but it causes frustration."

The insider concluded that it's "too soon to say" what will happen between Lopez and Affleck.

"I don't know if they will split, or if this is something they will work through," the film source said, noting that although they have their problems, their deep connection runs back two decades.

The music source added, "There have always been clashes in their styles and how they handle issues, but nothing has stopped their love over the years."

Lopez and Affleck were engaged in 2002 and broke up in 2004. In 2021, the two rekindled their connection and eloped in Las Vegas before holding a private ceremony in Georgia.

Since then, the two have been on a co-parenting set-up with Lopez's twins from Marc Anthony and Affleck's children with Jennifer Garner.
