This Stranger Things star is giving his candid opinion on Taylor Swift after they ran into each other at a recording studio.

Joe Keery, who is known by his musical alias as Djo, has revealed that he ran into the Grammy-winning superstar at the Electric Lady Studios in New York City. He now says that their encounter was not the first time he met the "Cruel Summer" singer.

"I just happened to be there the day that she was there," the actor and musician said on the Sprout Podcast. "And she's really nice. I mean, I've met her a couple of times."

After they were both spotted at the recording studio in June 2023, collaboration rumors were running rampant. The new interview does shut down any speculation that they might be releasing music together, but Keery does open up about the sweet exchange he had with Swift.

"Before anything happened with this track, she said, 'Hey, I really love that track of yours, 'End Of Beginning,'" he said, referring to his well-known 2022 track. "She just said that she had heard the song and, you know, obviously I'm like, 'What? You heard that song? How the h--l did you hear that song?'"

Keery goes on to praise The Tortured Poets Department creator as a true "music lover," frequently keeping track of new and emerging artists.

"But she's like a music lover, really. And she's also so hip to new music and things that are coming out," he explained. He goes on to say that he is "not shocked" that the "Cruel Summer" singer takes note of him and his fellow rising musicians.

"And so, I guess it's not shocking to me because she's like a big fan of music and just digs around and finds stuff. So, somehow, it came across her desk, and she listened to it and then said that she liked it. Really, really nice of her," he finished saying in the interview.

Although the "Fortnight" songstress is not collaborating with the Stranger Things actor on a new duet, she continues her work championing young artists by granting Gracie Abrams with a coveted duet. She will be featured on "Us," a track from Abrams' upcoming 13-track LP. The record is set to be released on June 21.

Abrams previously opened for Swift on the Eras Tour last summer. However, her final performance was canceled due to extreme weather conditions. To make up for it, Swift invited her to perform a duet during the acoustic section of her show.

"Taylor texted me being like, 'Hey come out with me and do 'I Miss You, I'm Sorry.'' And so we ran it one time in her room and then did it [during the concert]. It was just in the middle of her set and I blacked out the whole time."

Swift played the guitar while Abrams took to the piano during the highly-anticipated "Surprise Songs" section of the Eras Tour. The "Karma" singer has since invited artists like Sabrina Carpenter and Jack Antonoff to perform with her during the stripped-back section, which usually includes impromptu performances.
