Mai, who sued rapper Jeezy for domestic abuse and child neglect, felt empowered after Ventura's recent statement.
"In every echo of your bravery, Cassie, there lies a melody of hope that dances through the silence. Your voice has been a shield and sanctuary for many, including me. Thank you for turning your fight into your light," Mai commented on Ventura's Instagram statement.
Mai was one of the many celebrities and fans who supported Ventura after she spoke up.
In her statement, Ventura thanked her family, friends, and strangers for the outpouring of support.
"Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past," she wrote in her statement. "Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to take this matter seriously. My only ask is that EVERYONE open your heart to believing victims the first time."
Ventura sued Sean "Diddy" Combs in 2023 for physically and sexually assaulting her, including raping her in 2018. Days after, Diddy had settled the lawsuit already. However, Ventura's lawsuit empowered several victims to sue the rap mogul for similar behavior.
CNN recently published a video of Ventura being brutally assaulted by Diddy.
Meanwhile, Mai is also pursuing a similar route to Ventura as she filed a lawsuit for domestic abuse and child neglect against his estranged husband, Jeezy.
Legal documents revealed that Jeezy had a history of physically abusing his wife, Mai, during their marriage.
In one instance in 2022, Jeezy allegedly choked Mai from behind and pushed her down the stairs at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in San Francisco. Similar incidents took place, with Jeezy being verbally abusive on some occasions.
The complaint also included Mai's concerns of child neglect when one of their children, still a minor, was found with Jeezy's bag that contained an AK-47 firearm.
In an Instagram post, Jeezy denied the allegations, describing them as "false" and "deeply disturbing," especially from someone he loved.
"This malicious attempt to tarnish my character and disrupt my family is ridiculous. It's disheartening to witness the manipulation and deceit at play and at this time my main concern is being an active father to our daughter as I continue to fight for court-mandated joint custody," he wrote.
