Taking to her official Instagram account, the musician shared a mirror selfie of herself without makeup and just wearing simple clothes at home.

"I'm the happiest I've been in 10 months," she began writing, adding that depression is something that other people don't know until they experience it themselves and get out of the situation.

"I'm definitely not all the way as carefree as I used to be.. But the dark cloud that followed me every day is finally clearing up," she added.

Today, the "Special" hitmaker noted that her smile reaches her eyes again, and it's a win for her.

In concluding her post, Lizzo gave fans a hint about her upcoming music, saying she thought her album was done but needed to express some of the "good vibes" she was feeling in a song.

"Thanks for your patience," she added.

As of this writing, Lizzo has yet to share official details about her next single and album.

The recent news comes after the musician has been entangled in a legal battle with her former backup dancers, who alleged that they suffered from sexual and racial harassment. The singer was also accused of allegedly creating a hostile work environment while they were touring.

Taking to X, the musician shared an official statement regarding the allegations, saying her work ethic, morals, and respectfulness have been questioned since the issue came out.

She explained that she usually doesn't respond to false allegations, but the recent ones were "too outrageous."

Lizzo clarified that she didn't want to be looked at as a victim in the story, but she didn't also want to be the villain that the public has portrayed her since the issue.

Just recently, the musician had had enough of the negative comments she'd been receiving for the past few months, so she wrote on social media, "I quit," which many people thought was a sign that she was leaving the online world.

However, she later returned to clarify that she would quit giving other people some negative energy attention. She also noted that she won't be quitting music.

"What I'm not going to quit is the joy of my life which is making music, which is connecting with people because I know I'm not alone," she added.
