Veteran New York Police Department Derrick Parker spoke to The Sun about the magnitude of Sean "Diddy" Combs's sex trafficking probe.
"It definitely borders on the Jeffrey Epstein case because it has all the components. You have the sex trafficking. You have guns. You have drugs, and you have high profile celebrities, and maybe even politicians or people of influence," Parker revealed to the outlet.
Parker also noted that even though the probe is in its early phases, it is possible that other high profile celebrities might be roped into the scandal, just like Jeffrey Epstein's explosive case did.
"Somebody of Diddy's profile would inevitably cross paths with some huge names. It could unleash a number of names of people that probably didn't want or had no idea [embroiled]," he added.
Additionally, Parker shared his thoughts on why the bicoastal raid on Diddy's mansions in Miami and Los Angeles was at that level of intensity.
"The reason it was Homeland Security who carried out the raids was that the allegations against Diddy included sex trafficking across the US, across state lines, and overseas. That elevates the crime to the most serious level," he explained. "There was also a fear that guns were in the properties. We're not just talking a Glock or two, I mean serious firearms, assault rifles and so on."
Aside from firearms, drugs were also involved, Parker pointed out.
"Law enforcement had to be prepared for anything to happen, so they went in fast and hard to be as efficient and safe as possible.

He said the raid against Diddy was a "heavy-handed approach," which he claims he hasn't "seen the likes of before."
As of this writing, there is radio silence on the result of Homeland Security's raid on Diddy's homes in March 2024.
Speaking to The New York Post, Parker also alleged that "someone is behind" Diddy's downfall, believing that law enforcement has been fed off some "sensitive information."
"He has a very questionable past that he's been able to control because of his power for a very long time..But it looks to me like someone is behind this - someone who really wants to destroy his brand and take him down," Parker theorized. "Someone's cooperating, and it's probably someone close to him."
Before retiring from the New York Police Department, Parker was assigned to two of Diddy's cases in the 1990s and maintained that he knew the rapper well enough.
