Lady Gaga just released her new concert film, Gaga Chromatica Ball. It finally featured high-quality versions of the interludes that she flashed on the big screen when she was touring for the album.
The musician has always been a visionary. She incorporates story-telling into her shows by connecting each act with interludes, and she has done this on every tour since the beginning of her career.
For her recent series of shows, the musician began her performance with three of her biggest hits, "Bad Romance," "Just Dance," and "Poker Face," while being trapped inside a metal cocoon. This means that even though she succeeded at the peak of her career with these three tracks, she suffered behind closed doors.
Entertainment Weekly reported that this might be her interpretation of being encaptured in popularity, as she previously posted on social media: "Fame is prison."
She also gave an insight into her stardom during her performance at the Video Music Awards in 2009, where she changed the lyrics of "Poker Face" to "I pray the fame won't take my life."
In the following interlude, Gaga could be seen lying down on an operating table with nodules attached to her head. There were also flashes of a CT scan of the brain.
BloodPop, the producer of Chromatica, previously gave an insight into Gaga's process of recording the album, saying she was "slipping down the rabbit hole of sadness." She also struggled with her mental health, and to cope with it, she took antipsychotic treatment, which inspired her song "911."

"This was her truth, and she wanted to write about it even though she knew it would be painful to 'go there,'" he previously said.
For the final interlude, "The Sonnet," Gaga appeared on the screen to share spoken poetry, in which she said, "This life is only art on life support. And nature is a knight, no king or court." This suggests that Gaga is pointing out that through art and creativity, people find meaning and purpose in life.
Gaga Chromatica Ball is now available to stream on Max. At the end of the movie, the musician teased fans about her next album as she played a snippet of a never-before-heard song.
The words "LG7 Gaga Returns" flashed on the screen before the film ended.
As of this writing, Lady Gaga has yet to share more details about the official release date of her next album.
