Lady Gaga made headlines recently after she attended the Los Angeles premiere of her new film, Gaga Chromatica Ball, in an all-white outfit featuring a car part. On the red carpet, the musician gave fans insight into her next album and a potential collaboration with Beyoncé.
Mother Monster spoke to Entertainment Tonight, where she was asked about the follow-up to her "Telephone" collaboration with Beyoncé. The music video for the track noted in the end that the story would be continued in the future.
During the interview, the award-winning actress simply answered, "Whenever Beyoncé calls, I'd like to pick up the phone." As of this writing, the pair has yet to reveal whether they're recording a new song again.
The American Horror Story star then hinted at her next album, saying she couldn't wait to release it to her fans.
"I have been working on my new music all the time, and I truly live and breathe it," she said, adding that the next project will be "completely different" from what she has done in the past.
When asked when fans can listen to her new material, Gaga answered, "They hate when I say, 'Soon,' but soon."
Later at the premiere event, the musician held a Q&A session with Access Hollywood, during which she recalled the Chromatica Ball, which started in 2022. She noted that going on a series of concerts was "such a special time," and it happened during a time when other people thought it was impossible because of the pandemic.
Regardless, Gaga said her stadium tour was packed with fans as they sold out several venues.
When asked to reveal something that she never shared with anyone before, the singer confirmed she performed five shows with COVID, but she ensured the safety of her crew as she discussed her situation at the time.
"I said, 'I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable at work, and you don't have to perform and you don't have to work that day,'" she recalled.
The reason why she opted to continue the shows despite being sick was because she didn't want to disappoint all her fans.
Lady Gaga's new movie Gaga Chromatica Ball will feature live performances of her songs "Stupid Love," "Bad Romance," "Rain On Me," and many more. It was filmed during her sold out concert at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA.
The film will premiere on HBO on May 25, 2024. It will also be streamed on Max.
