Sean "Diddy" Combs is continuing to face the repercussions of an incident in 2016 where he allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Video footage of the incident has recently resurfaced, sparking renewed attention and scrutiny.

TMZ reported that eyewear retailer America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses has decided to discontinue sales of frames from Diddy's Sean John collection.

Retailers reportedly received instructions last week to clear their shelves of Sean John merchandise and replace it with alternative products of comparable value. Notably, the company's online store started phasing out Sean John eyewear from its inventory a month ago, according to the same source.

The Bad Boy Records mogul found himself under public scrutiny following CNN's release of a hotel CCTV clip showing the Diddy engaging in an altercation with Ventura at a hotel.

Expressing remorse for his behavior, the rapper apologized through a video posted on Instagram on May 19.

"It's difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, sometimes you gotta do that."

"I was f----d up. I mean, I hit rock bottom but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I'm disgusted."

"I went and sought out professional help. I've been going to therapy, going to rehab. Had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I'm so sorry, but I'm committed to being a better man each and every day. I'm not asking for forgiveness. I'm truly sorry."

In a recent update provided to Us Weekly, Ventura's legal representatives expressed their disapproval of his actions and the video, emphasizing that it focuses more on the rapper behind it rather than the numerous individuals who have been affected.

"When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday," her lawyer Meredith Firetog told the outlet.

"That he was only compelled to 'apologize' once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words."

Aside from his recent business blow, Diddy's songs have also reportedly been taken down by Peloton.

TMZ said that the fitness company has decided to discontinue using his music.

"We take this issue very seriously and can confirm Peloton has paused the use of Sean Combs' music, as well as removed the Bad Boy Entertainment Artist Series, on our platform," according to their statement in a private Facebook group.

"This means our instructors are no longer using his music in any newly produced classes. Again, thank you for sharing your concerns and thank you for being a member of our Peloton community."
