Music icon Stevie Nicks gave a sweet and endearing gesture to pop star Taylor Swift when she performed at the BottleRock Music Festival.
The former Fleetwood Mac singer rocked a gold bracelet to remind everyone that she's a huge Swiftie. In fan-captured videos, Nicks was seen wearing a The Tortured Poets Department bracelet on her wrist.
The customized bracelet, priced at $40 on Swift's website, was part of Nick's outfit last weekend.
Nicks was mentioned in Swift's The Tortured Poets Department's deep cut, "Clara Bow."
"You look like Stevie Nicks / In '75, the hair and lips / Crowd goes wild at her fingertips / Half moonshine, a full eclipse," Swift sang on the track.
Nicks has long been a fan of Swift. In fact, she even crafted a poem for The Tortured Poets Department.
In a poem titled "For T and me...," per The Independent, Nicks wrote:
"He was in love with her -- or at least she thought so. She was brokenhearted, and maybe he was too. Neither of them knew / She was way too hot to handle / He was way too high to try / He couldn't even see her / He wouldn't open his eyes. She was on her way to the stars / He didn't say goodbye."
Nicks has previously professed her admiration for the young artist. She even revealed her favorite song from Swift's Midnights album because it helped her grieve her friend, the late Christine McVie.
"Thank you to Taylor Swift for doing a favor for me, and that is, writing a song called 'You're on Your Own, Kid,'" the singer said at her Atlanta concert in 2023. "That is the sadness of how I feel."
Swift has also credited Nicks as one of her musical inspirations and idols. At the 2010 Grammy Awards, she performed a medley of tracks with the music veteran "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac, "Today Was A Fairytale" and "You Belong With Me."
Swift has since described the performance with Nicks as "a fairy tale and an honor."
In a writing to Time after their performance, Nicks had this to say:
"Taylor reminds me of myself in her determination and her childlike nature. It's an innocence that's so special and so rare. This girl writes the songs that make the whole world sing, like Neil Diamond or Elton John."
