Sean "Diddy" Combs' mountain of accusations is continuing to pile up. Now, a bombshell Rolling Stone report has revealed that he has had his abusive streak as early as the late 1980s.
An eyewitness alleged that the rap mogul beat his then-girlfriend with what seemed to be a belt when he was still studying at Howard University back then.
"[He] whupped her butt - like really whupped her butt," the eyewitness recalled Diddy whipping his then-girlfriend with a belt "all over the place."
The woman, who has not been named, broke down in tears in public.
"She was trying to defend herself a little bit. She was crying," the source alleged. "And we were telling him, 'Get off of her.' We were screaming for her."
Another student at the time also came forward and described the "Bad Boy for Life" rapper as "belligerent" during the public encounter. The eyewitness remembered the rapper screaming outside the university's Harriet Tubman Quadrangle and hearing other women screaming in panic because of what Diddy was doing.
"Puff is out here acting crazy. He's beating her," the source remembered hearing among the crowd.
According to Rolling Stone's investigation, Diddy had a reputation for being hot-tempered with his then-girlfriend before their very public encounter.
"She would tense up [when Combs appeared]," another source claimed about Diddy's relationship with the unidentified woman. "He just had a weird control thing. I felt like she was fearful."
Diddy attended Howard University in 1987 but later dropped out to pursue his dream of becoming a rapper. In 2014, he returned to the university and received an honorary degree before delivering a commencement speech for the graduating class.
"Mr. Combs cannot comment on settled litigation, will not comment on pending litigation and cannot address every allegation picked up by the press from any source, no matter how unreliable," Diddy's lawyers said about the scathing allegations made by former students to Rolling Stone.
CNN has recently reported that Diddy's accusers might soon face a federal grand jury to hear their grievances against the rapper. One of the eight lawsuits filed against the rap mogul was the already-settled case from his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
Sources have revealed that investigators have already notified possible witnesses. The Homeland Security Investigations Agency did not comment on the existence of the reported grand jury hearing but maintained that investigations are ongoing.
