After her recent health revelation, country singer-songwriter Carly Pearce will "alter" her shows.

In an Instagram video, Pearce revealed that she was diagnosed with a heart condition called Pericarditis.

"Hey y'all, I have always been transparent and honest about every part of my life, so I feel like this deserves the same honesty. You guys know that I've been dealing with some health issues and through that, I have developed something called pericarditis, which is a heart issue, and I've been working with doctors and talking to my cardiologist and I still want to be out on the road," Pearce revealed.

According to the singer, it is in her "best interest" to "alter" her shows a "little bit." While Pearce did not specifically detail which parts of her show would be different, she assured them it was done to control her heart rate during her performances.

The "Should've Known Better" singer assured her fans that she has kept her heart rate "under control" right now.

"And that doesn't mean I'm not going to be completely fine, it just means right now I've got to really take this seriously," she said.

Pearce is an opening act for Tim McGraw's Standing Room Only Tour. Pearce's disclaimer came hours before her comeback performance at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio, on May 30, 2024. McGraw and Pearce's performance will last until June 29, 2024, and it will cap off at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.

The Cleveland Clinic describes pericarditis as an inflammation of the pericardium or the sac that covers the outer surface of the heart. Usually, the condition clears up after three months, but attacks may come and go for years.

"If you're coming to the shows, if you are going to be a part of any of the amazing things we have going on with Hummingbird, it is all going to be great," Pearce teased of her upcoming album.

Pearce asked her fans for a "little bit of grace" as the shows might look a "little different."

"And truly, more importantly, if any of you are dealing with any kind of health stuff, or aren't - I'm a young, healthy person that really watches what I eat and exercises, and this happened to me... I just want to use my platform to tell you to take care of your body and listen to it. And just know that if it's trying to tell you something, it's gonna tell you," the singer implored.
