Taylor Swift arrived in London, England ahead of her upcoming Eras Tour shows in the country, and her first stop was to support her good friend Cara Delevingne on the West End stage.

Delevingne is currently portraying Sally Bowles in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club at the Playhouse Theatre.

Swift's attendance was confirmed by Arthur Jones, the head of the marketing department, who responded to a fan's inquiry, stating, "Can confirm. A special night."

Swift's visit on Friday, May 31, was timely, as Saturday, June 1, marked Cara's final performance.

"Tonight, we bid farewell to Cara Delevingne, Luke Treadaway, @beverleyklein and Teddy Kempner. Thanks for being perfectly marvellous. #KitKatClub," the show's X account tweeted.

Delevingne, aged 31, assumed the role on March 1; the production originally opened in 2021. However, the run was interrupted 15 days later when her $7 million Studio City home in Los Angeles caught fire, resulting in one person sustaining injuries.

According to Hello Magazine, this is believed to be Taylor's first visit to London since her breakup from her British boyfriend of seven years, Joe Alwyn, in early 2023.

In her new album, The Tortured Poet's Department, she addresses leaving the city behind in track five, titled 'So Long, London."

According to Swifties, they have a strong feeling that "So Long London" is surely written about the end of Swift's long-term relationship with Alwyn, given the poignant lyrics:

I saw in my mind ferry lights through the mist
I kept calm and carried the weight of the rift
Pulled him in tighter each time he was drifting away
My spine split from carrying us up the hill
Wet through my clothes, weary bones caught the chill
I stopped trying to make him laugh, stopped trying to drill the safe

It's gearing up to be a bustling summer for Swift, with approximately two and a half months of performances lined up in the United Kingdom.

Swift's UK tour kicks off in early June and concludes with her final performance in London on August 20th.

Following her UK tour, however, the "Fortnight" singer will take a well-deserved break before returning to the stage in Toronto in November.
