Reports suggest that Kelly Clarkson's behavior on and off stage has become increasingly unpredictable.
Sources have revealed that her intense focus on dieting is pushing her towards a potential breakdown.
Unsettling video footage documented Clarkson's challenge in maintaining composure on stage during a recent performance in Atlantic City.
Sources told Globe that the "Since U Been Gone" singer's apparent emotional instability to those close to her.
"Sure, she lost the weight, but everyone's worried she's going overboard. She hasn't been herself at all lately."
They added, "She's shaky on stage, she's jittery, her moods are all over the place - and she looks gaunt because her cheeks are sunken in. It's not good!"
Clarkson surprised everyone recently by revealing she was feeling a bit strange that evening after using a weight loss drug to lose around 60 pounds.
In the Atlantic City performance, the mom-of-two faced a wardrobe mishap and even stumbled over the lyricsof her track "Mine!"
According to the source, those close to her have expressed concern about her strict diet and are advising her to eat more.
"She used to be on top of her game, so to hear her forget lyrics and go off on a tangent in front of her audience is distressing."
"She's skipping meals. She's not getting enough nutrients. She has no energy. It's like she's faking being excited!"
Adding to Clarkson's distress is reportedly the lingering inability to overcome the pain of her unsuccessful marriage, which lasted six years with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who is described as greedy by insiders.
"It keeps her up at night. It's an emotional roller coaster she can't get off!"

Even after finalizing their divorce proceedings in March 2022, when the talk show host secured primary custody of their children River Rose, 9, and Remington Alexander, 8, the couple's legal battle is ongoing.
"[Clarkson's] friends are doing their best to support her. But they miss the lively, healthier girl they used to know!"
Following their separation in 2020, Blackstock, who had previously served as Clarkson's manager, was instructed to provide a $1.5 million bond should he want to proceed with the legal dispute concerning the commissions he received while they were still married.
During their marriage, Blackstock had been employed at Starstruck, a company owned by his father, Narvel.
Clarkson entered a contract in 2007 that entitled Blackstock to a 15% commission on various projects.
Following their split, Starstruck claimed that Clarkson had an outstanding debt of $1.4 million in commissions related to her work on The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Voice.
The company alleged that Clarkson ceased payments amid increasing hostility following their divorce.
In response, Clarkson retaliated by initiating legal action with the California Labor Commission. She alleged that Blackstock was not properly licensed to act as a talent agent and had been imposing excessive commission fees on her earnings.
