Assertions are rampant that Jennifer Lopez's career is already going downhill, exacerbated by the fact that she had to cancel her tour to fix her family, but ratings for her Netflix project Atlas belie these claims.

Jennifer Lopez is basking in success as her Netflix sci-fi thriller, Atlas, emerges as a top performer among streaming films.

According to Variety, Atlas claimed the top spot in Luminate's streaming rankings for the week of May 24-30, surpassing all other contenders in the top 10.

Not only did the project secure the number one position, but it also outperformed other streaming films by a significant margin.

The second-place entry fell short by approximately one billion minutes in viewership compared to Atlas.

These impressive streaming numbers come as a much-needed positive development for Lopez, 54, amidst recent challenges. Despite facing a wave of negative reviews for her latest movie, she remains resilient.

Additionally, Lopez has been grappling with reports of marital issues with her husband, Ben Affleck, who has been living separately for weeks. Furthermore, Live Nation's recent announcement of the cancellation of her upcoming tour added to the string of setbacks.

According to Luminate's ratings, the film amassed 1.3 billion minutes of viewing time over the week, translating to nearly 11 million views, as reported by the analytics firm. However, this figure might oversimplify the data as it's derived from dividing the total minutes by the film's runtime of 120 minutes.

Given that many viewers may have only sampled the film, watching just a few minutes, the exact number of viewings for the film remains ambiguous based on the latest rankings. Netflix, known for its discretion in releasing viewership data, defines a 'view' as two minutes of watching time.

Nevertheless, Atlas emerged as the top film of the week across major streaming platforms, surpassing even the most popular series. For context, the most-watched show, "Bridgerton," garnered an estimated 766.8 million minutes of viewing time.

Following Atlas, the second most-viewed film was Netflix's "Mother Of The Bride," with 223 million estimated minutes watched, trailed by Prime Video's "The Blue Angels" with 181.4 million minutes.

While the exact number of full viewings of Atlas remains unclear, its impressive ranking suggests significant interest in the film and Jennifer Lopez herself.

Prior to this ratings report, Lopez appears to have faced a series of setbacks. Despite her success as a hitmaker at 54, she recently canceled her tour, and her rekindled marriage to Ben Affleck appears to be on shaky ground.

Additionally, reports suggest that her now-canceled tour experienced low ticket sales, while her new Netflix film received negative reviews.

Furthermore, her planned multimillion-dollar Las Vegas residency has reportedly been scrapped, indicating a challenging year for JLo. Claims of her career being over have been making the rounds.
