Morrissey may have struggled with health problems over the past few months but is determined to entertain his fans again. He announced two shows in Las Vegas later this year; check out the details below.
Taking to his social media accounts, the singer wrote, "Despite recent fiascoes, I will indeed be fully present in blood-soaked flesh."
He then revealed that he would perform at the House of Blue in Las Vegas on July 26 and 27, 2024.
Later in the post, he gave an update about his condition, writing, "Having hung upside down for several months, I am now in good health - like an arrow fully drawn and waiting to be fired: please fling me."
He noted that signed copies of his 1993 live recording album, Beethoven Was Deaf, will be available at the venue for those interested.
For his upcoming shows, Morrissey will be accompanied by guitarists Jesse Tobias and Carmen Vandenberg, keyboardist Camila Grey, bassist Solomon Walker, and drummer Matthew Walker.
"Expect a night of thrust and parry - no-show tunes. If you can find a decent pair of shoes, by all means come along," he added.
A ticket pre-sale will begin on June 6, 2024, at 10 a.m. local time using the code CHORD, while the rest of the tickets will roll out to the general public on June 7, 2024, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
"Hopefully, I will smell you in Vegas - where the audiences always stay the same age ... are you in the mood?" he concluded his post.
The recent news comes a few months after his manager, Donnie Knutson, announced that the singer had to cancel some of his shows in Los Angeles due to "physical exhaustion."
"Morrissey is receiving medical supervision for physical exhaustion. He has been ordered to rest for two weeks, and he will remain in Zurich," the announcement reads on his social media accounts.
The musician has been open about his health problems through the years as he told Larry King in an interview that he was previously diagnosed with several illnesses like pneumonia and Barrett's cancer, and more.
"They scrape it occasionally and I have medication, but I'm OK. Lots of people have it and they fade away, lots of people have it and they don't fade away," he said of his cancer at the time.
