Taylor Swift surprised her Paris Eras Tour audience with unexpected remarks, hinting at her past relationship with Joe Alwyn being the "wrong guy."

She concluded her performance during her European Eras Tour stop with the poignant line, "Long story short, it was the wrong guy."

After her emotional performance, Swift delivered a powerful message to the audience: "long story short, I survived."

Fans quickly shared their thoughts on social media, speculating that Swift's heartfelt words were about her past relationship with Alwyn, whom she had a relationship with from 2016 until early 2023.

According to @ThrowbackTaylor, "the way that she ended one of her most heartbreaking songs with, long story short, it was the wrong guy... long story short, I survived."

@imamirrorba11 commented, "She's like 'it was never that serious.'"

@Haileyjunebug noted, "She genuinely looks so healed like something has shifted."

"What's crazy is she changed 'long story short it was a bad time, ling story short i survived' to this. Never once in that song do you get 'long story short it was the wrong guy, ling story short i survived' after each other," @OkaneHoshii24 also said.

There's widespread speculation that Taylor's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, includes songs inspired by Alwyn and shared memories at a London pub.

Employees at The Black Dog, a Vauxhall establishment and also the same title of a song in her latest album, have acknowledged the presence of a blonde patron who frequents their bar.

Ever since appearing in the 17th song of Swift's latest album, which has taken the world by storm, the venue has seen a surge of Swift's supporters flocking in to buy pint glasses as souvenirs.

Meanwhile, an enthusiastic Swiftie creatively incorporated the singer's music into her academic pursuits. According to the BBC, Regan Caie, a law student at the University of Glasgow, crafted her fourth-year dissertation centered around the intersection of Swift's re-recorded albums and copyright regulations.

In light of a legal disagreement with producer and artist manager Scooter Braun, the music sensation decided to re-record and re-release four of her initial six albums. Caie expressed that her passion for Swift's music inspired her to merge it with her aspiration to pursue a future in copyright and intellectual property law, as reflected in her dissertation.
