Kelly Clarkson has showcased her vocal prowess time and time again on the Kellyoke segment of her daytime talk show.
Her performances have moved the original artists to tears and prompted them to vow never to perform their songs again.
On the recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the first ever winner of American Idol disclosed one song that emerged victorious over her.
Clarkson performed Bon Jovi's "Blaze of Glory" on her show but the 42-year-old Grammy Award winner confessed that the song has pushed the limits of her vocal prowess.
Clarkson told the audience, "Not even 'cause I can't sing it, I just can't read. Whatever."
The fact that the song was created for the movie Young Guns II in 1990, securing the Golden Globe for Best Original Song, did not escape her attention.
"Here's the thing. I grew up on that song. I know that song but in rehearsal I messed it up like a gazillion times. Not even 'cause I wasn't hitting the notes. I just couldn't read. I just kept saying the wrong words."
The "Since U Been Gone" singer went on to say, "It got so ridiculous I had to let it go like Elsa just for a minute and then I had someone come rescue me."
In a heartwarming moment, Jon Bon Jovi embraced Clarkson as she doubled over in laughter, immediately lifting her spirits.
It is well known that Clarkson has an extraordinary talent for enhancing any song she sings, making it uniquely her own.
In fact, Clarkson's rendition of the timeless Radiohead hit song "Fake Plastic Trees" is absolutely stunning, and she went on to share a complete rendition of it.
Dolly Parton also joined Clarkson in one performance on the show to deliver a memorable rendition of "9 to 5,"seizing the spirit of their combined singing talent.
Taking on Katy Perry's upbeat pop track "The One That Got Away," Clarkson also skillfully reimagined it into a soulful, emotional ballad, showcasing the depth and power of her vocals.
Frequently being played on popular music stations, chances are many already feel a bit worn out from hearing "Chandelier" by Sia everywhere. However, in a remarkable display of creativity, Clarkson successfully infused a sense of novelty into the song. It was hardly surprising, considering her exceptional ability to breathe new life into everything she touches.
