Lisa Marie Presley's ex-husband, Michael Lockwood, fought for a six-figure demand from the Elvis Presley Estate, specifically from The Promenade Trust.

According to legal documents obtained by In Touch Weekly, Lockwood demanded that The Promenade Trust pay him $153,647.32 for legal fees he had incurred to become the official guardian of the twins, Harper and Finley Lockwood.

"After Lisa Marie's death, the Promenade Trust was the subject of litigation, primarily focused on who should be the trustee. To protect and represent their interests in this litigation, Finley and Harper sought and secured the court appointment of their father, Michael Lockwood, to serve as their Guardian Ad Litem," Lockwood's demand in March 2024 read.

However, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge has recently ruled that Lockwood should provide "additional evidence" to grant his petition to be paid by The Promenade Trust. The outlet reported that a hearing has been set for August 2024.

In his March complaint, Lockwood pointed out that he played a central role in keeping Riley Keough and Priscilla Presley from resolving their issues with minimal court intervention. After Lisa Marie's death, Keough became the sole administrator of the Presley Estate. Elvis Presley's ex-wife, Priscilla, challenged this but later settled when Keough paid her a million dollars.

"Importantly, Michael was able to achieve his goal of ensuring the court issues were all resolved effectively and cost-efficiently so Finley and Harper would have the financial resources their mother intended," Lockwood said in his complaint.

Star magazine recently reported that Harper and Finley have since stayed away from the spotlight.

"[The twins] are very sensible, smart girls who mostly keep out of the spotlight. They're in high school and focused on their studies," the insider shared. "They are getting lots of attention from the family, talk about [Presley] a lot to keep her memory alive and visit Graceland often."

Lockwood and Presley tied the knot in 2006, but the latter filed for divorce in 2016 after ten years of marriage. Their divorce was only finalized in 2021. The couple was also embroiled in a messy custody battle after Presley argued that she found inappropriate images of children on Lockwood's personal computer, challenging the latter's request for spousal support.

However, after an intensive search, the Brentwood and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations never found any wrongdoings or such material on the 80 electronic devices surrendered to the bureau.
